The highly anticipated trailer of 102 Not Out takes viewers on a roller coaster ride, showcasing the various emotions that the duo go through.
102 Not Out – is an ageless comedy that brings together Indian Cinema’s two biggest stalwarts – Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor after 27 years, with the two legends playing father-son duo for the first time.
102 years young Dattatraya Vakharia (Amitabh Bachchan) lives life to the fullest and wants to break the record of oldest living man- that’s held by a 118 years old Chinese. Dattatraya wants to live a stress free life in order to become the oldest living man. However, there is only one hinderance- his 75 year old son Babulal (Rishi Kapoor) who has resigned himself to a life of old age stuck in drudgery. Dattatraya now must find means and ways to change Babulal’s sad and grumpy demeanour so that he doesn’t become a deterrent in breaking the record. Little do they realise that this roller coaster ride filled with comedy, emotion and commotion, will change them and their relationship forever.
Billed as the most unusual father and son love story, the movie is based on playwright Saumya Joshi’s well known Gujarati play by the same name and has been adapted into a feature by him.
With 102 Not Out already having generated immense buzz and intrigue, the trailer is sure to heighten the excitement surrounding the SPE Films India, Treetop Entertainment and Umesh Shukla’s Benchmark Pictures’ production.
The trailer launch comes after the team released the first poster promoting the movie (left) on the 23rd March, followed by a second on the 24th March (right). The poster shows the centenarian pouring water on his son, as if he were a plant. This suggests that no matter how old we are – we always need our parents to grow, aged 7 or 75.
The team also initiated the unique activity of hatching an egg which garnered 1 million pokes in less than 20 hours! Epitomising the intrigue surrounding the film, the activity was a huge success and saw vast participation from people all over the world. The egg was hatched when the trailer activity reached 1 million.
