Alexandra Roman London Fashion Week Show At The Sanderson Hotel London By Lady Romessa Sheikh
Stepping inside The Sanderson Hotel, immediately you are magically transformed into a scene that instantly breaks free from the hustle and bustle of the world left behind outside. The very first sight your eyes are drawn towards in the lobby is the Salvador Dali Bocca sofa i.e. The Red Lip Sofa ! Then the wonderful 1960s swinging chair

As you continue round the lobby area, your eyes adjust to the quirky and surreal furniture, a feeling of walking straight into a scene where nothing looks like it should be there, yet it all fits perfectly into place, just like in the story of “Alice in Wonderland”. Everyone’s favourite fairy-tale. A novel originally written in 1865 by the English Author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson better known as his alias name Lewis Caroll that was used to keep his identity a secret from the world.
The 8 story art deco building transformed by designer Philippe Starck continues with the avant-garde feel as you walk throughout the hotel. It was nice to meet Marina the Style Icon at this Fashion Show.
Looking out towards the glass window perfectly mimicking “Through the Looking Glass” scene, your eyes feast on the delights of the courtyard to find the perfect “Mad Hatters” scene of the most beautifully presented Japanese design layout with Bonsai trees, a piece of heaven’s garden magically recreated in all its glory. A stunning scene with gushing water, pebbled surface, sand area and an array of green shrubs, a piece of paradise centred as a focal point at the heart of the hotel. The continued whimsical theme is taken throughout the hotel guest bedrooms with beautiful spacious rooms and bathrooms to relax in after a whirlwind adventure of pure indulgence of the Afternoon Mad Hatters Tea, enjoying cocktails at The Long Bar and Purple Bar and experiencing fine dining cuisines at the Restaurant Sanderson. For a total detox and relaxation before the night is over enjoy the luxurious Aqua Spa for the total wellbeing experience.
